Below is a table that depicts views of the Canadian Political Parties based on the FDK Program as well as the different costs of child care services. The views are from that of the Conservatives and the Liberals. Five different issues/concerns of both parents and ECE are displayed and the two Parties views are compared. We focused on FDK, Family Support Beneficiary, Spending on Beneficiary, Who should be in the FDK classroom and finally, Cost.
A call for action is necessary upon seeing that table with the different views. As future educators, we can advocate for the Liberal party, knowing that they believe in the things we strongly support; things that is seen on the table above. They also support families in a more efficient way with the beneficiary they had in place. We can also make the public aware of these different views. Give them the information with additional references and let them choose as to what to advocate for.
